Denim on denim. This very well might have been the scariest outfit of the challenge for me to do. I’m not sure what it is about it. Maybe the idea of being really matchy-matchy. It certainly took me a few tries to figure out what jeans to wear and what chambray shirt to pair with them. I finally settled on this outfit. But I still felt weird. After adding not one, but two statement necklaces, I was more in my element and ready to go.
What has been the hardest outfit of the challenge for you do do?
And see my fancy new red bag? I have been searching for one for some time and I stumbled upon this one at Macy’s. The best part? I got this one and another (you will see it soon) for a total of $52! Score!

I have been slacking with wearing challenge outfits, but here are a few more that I have worn since last week’s post.

I think you rocked it, looks great!
Thanks Sarah 🙂
I love, love, love this look on you! And I love how you made it your own! The hardest thing for me this challenge is pastels and florals…I just don’t wear them.
Thank you Vanessa! Have you tried just a little dose of floral, like a scarf or something like that?
I agree with you, the denim on denim is terrifying and I have to admit, I still haven’t really tried it…
This was my first time wearing it, and I’m not sure I would repeat it honestly. Maybe in the summer with jean shorts instead? Just a little too much denim for me 🙂
You did great with the denim on denim. I love how you added the necklaces!
Thanks Lana! They did add a nice touch.
denim on denim scares me too but it looks so good on everyone! I LOVE the necklaces, so pretty!
Who would of thought the two items that are the most similar would be the hardest to wear 🙂
This looks great on you! Love the denim on denim…wonder why I don’t wear it more!!
Thanks Katie!
That denim on denim scared me to death, too. And then I loved it! I like the why you added a touch of feminine with your pearls and statement necklace. I need to remember trying that when I wear my denim on denim again. I think it is going to become one of my go-to outfits.
Isn’t it great how these challenges push us out of our comfort zones and we end up finding new things to love? I’m still not sure on the whole denim on denim look, but I’m glad I could give you a little inspiration for next time. Can’t wait to see your next take on it 🙂
It took me so long to try denim on denim and not it is by far one of my favorite go tos 🙂 You look fabulous and pull it off to perfection!

Thank you Tori!
I have not thought about two statement necklaces but you totally pulled it off.
Thanks Carrie. I’ve really started to like layering necklaces – especially statements. It really adds another dimension to an outfit.
That chambray skirt is such a wardrobe staple — I wear mine quite frequently! 🙂

It really is a great staple. I need to start pulling mine out more often.
