Lately it seems I’ve had to be much more business casual. Which often means wearing pants. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of pants, so having to wear them a bunch makes me grumpy. To make a conservative business casual look a bit more fun, I like to pair it with colorful blazers or tops. That way you get the best of both worlds. Conservative enough for the old-school people, but still exciting enough to keep my creativity flowing.
Jewelry also helps. While a statement necklace might be too much, there is always the option to layer dainty pieces for more dynamic look. Or you can do a smaller statement like this Kenda Scott necklace that I’m wearing. What is nice about this one is the neutral color so it goes with everything and it gives just enough oomph to the outfit. I got this one in my latest RocksBox and I pretty much squealed in delight when I opened it. Just a forewarning, I wore this four out of five days last week, so you will be seeing it quite a bit here 🙂 And you can bet that this one is staying at home with me when I send the rest of the box back.
