Fresh Start

Hi all! I hope you enjoyed the 4th of July weekend. We ended up not doing much of anything, and it was pretty awesome. I’ve been in between jobs for 10 days and it was go-go-go for most of it. I tried to get a bunch of different appointments and activities done in those 10 days, so it was nice to sit around the house and just chill and eat some tasty food at home. Plus I got a history lesson by watching Sons of Liberty on the History Channel on the 4th. It was great! Oh, I also went golfing for the first time this year and about the third time in my life last week. I actually did pretty good, considering. Here is to hoping I can get out on the course again this summer!

What did you do during the long weekend?

So today is the day I start my new job! Well, officially anyways. I actually have a full day’s worth of orientation today and then Tuesday I will get my cube. It is going to be weird to not be able to wear this sort of outfit to work (with a cardigan). I haven’t worked in a corporate-y environment for quite awhile, so it will be odd to go back to dress pants and the like. Is it bad that I can’t wait to see how everyone else dresses so I can actually figure out the dress code? While I have it on paper, some of it is so ambiguous that I have no idea what it means.

Thanks Leslie! I love this headband, it is just so fun 🙂 Eh, I’m still trying to figure the dress code out. Business casual, but I still don’t quite get if I have to have the whole leg covered (nylons or pants/socks) or if it is just the foot. It is confusing!
