Weekend Editions: OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen Review

Lately, I’ve been in a bit of a rut when it comes to personal care items. I have very sensitive skin, so the last thing I want to do is try all sorts of different products that makes my skin go crazy. But it also means that I could be missing out on new (to me) products that could benefit me. While my current regimen works, there is certainly room for improvement. That was why I was excited to try OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen.

I’ve been using a department store brand of BB cream for a few years now. I wish it did have was more natural ingredients. If there is one thing that I look for besides functionality in my personal care products, it is natural. While I’m not super into organic and natural, I’m certainly a proponent of less ingredients areĀ better. Especially if I can actually pronounce them.

OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen had all the things I look for; natural, SPF, and a slight tint. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.

I am one of those lucky (err, might be unlucky) people that is REALLY pale. I’ve had makeup people look at me and just say “huh, I’m going to have to dig out my lightest shade.” When I read that OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen was medium tint, I didn’t think anything of it. I probably should have.

On a Sunday, I put the OZ Naturals Tinted Sunscreen on instead of my BB cream. I put it on and immediately noticed the smell. While it is far from a bad smell, I was certainly strong enough where I’m not sure I could handle it all day. It stuck around for quite awhile as well. After I put it on, I thought it seemed a bit darker than I would like, but left it on while I ate my breakfast. I came back into the bathroom to brush my teeth and about busted out laughing. I looked like an Oompa Loompa. I was far too many shades darker than I should be. So I quickly washed it off and went with my normal BB cream before anyone saw me, especially my husband. I’m sure he would of had a grand old time laughing at me šŸ™‚

WhileĀ OZ Naturals Tinted SunscreenĀ didn’t work for me, I think it would be great for anyone that is looking to add more natural products to their makeup bag. Just make sure you are not a ghost like I am!

I was provided a sample via Brandbacker for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
