Well, another month is over. Isn’t it amazing that it is already September? Where did summer go? During August, I pretty much threw my budget out the window. I’ll need to do some serious reining in on my spending the next couple months.
- Duffield Lane pullover via Country Club Prep ($40): I’m all for light fun pullovers. I won a gift card to CCP, plus this pullover was on sale, so I ordered it.
- Sail to Sable sweater {similar} via Rue La La ($45): A fancy cashmere blend sweater that I can’t wait to wear this fall.
- Bird Skirt via Old Navy ($8): I’m a big fan of swirly skirts. I ordered two colors and planned to return one but loved them both.
- Bird Skirt via Old Navy ($8): see above. PS I got these in Tall for extra length so I can wear them at my waist or lower on my hips.
- Navy Blazer via Old Navy ($9): I was looking for a new navy blazer and this one fit the bill perfectly.
- Striped Tunic via Old Navy x2 ($10 each): Oh how I love these. Seriously the best striped shirt. I’ve worn one with leggings and can’t wait to wear it with, well, everything!
- Plaid Pullover Top via Old Navy ($13): Plaid is my jam. I’ve been looking to add tunics to my wardrobe and this one fi t the bill.
- Isla Silk button up {similar} via Lilly Pulitzer ($49): I sort of surprised myself with my APS purchases. No prints, no dresses. This silk top will be great for days when I have to look more professional, but I’m sure I’ll be able to dress it down a bit too.
- Anna Maria button up via Lilly Pulitzer ($29): I actually love this top. The fit is great and the blue color is rich and works well with a lot of things in my closet.
- Fedora Hat via Old Navy ($12): I’ve wanted a felt hat like this for quite some time. This one is great for the price.
- Turquoise wreath necklace via BaubleBar ($33): This necklace is swoon-worthy. BaubleBar had a sale that you got 50% off if you bought 3 items, so that is what I did.
- Mint tassel necklace via BaubleBar ($23): I’ve already worn this several times, totally worth it.
- Y-Gem necklace via BaubleBar ($28): This one fills a whole in my jewelry. It is longer, but not a really long one. Plus the colors are gorgeous!
- Clarks Natira boots via OnlineShoes ($161*): These boots are FANTASTIC. As in, I want to wear them all the time. Comfy, cute, plus they are weather-appropriate, meaning I’ll be able to trudge through the snow when it comes in comfort. I got these and #6 on a BOGO deal from OnlineShoes.
- Clarks Mission Halle boots via OnlineShoes ($0*): The bronze color of these goes with so much. I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of them once the weather cools down.
So where do I stand so far on my overall budget for clothing? Well, it is the first week of September and I’m already over budget. My goal this month is to sell a few things and not buy much. You will also see an Ebates deposit. I decided to put that money to my budget as well, since a lot of it probably is from buying clothes anyway! If you haven’t signed up for Ebates yet, do it! They pretty much pay to make purchases that you were already going to make. Plus it is great about showing you all the coupons that are available on the site you are on.

I actually don’t think you did too bad, but maybe that’s because I spent $400 in August? You definitely got some great deals! I need to sign up for ebates!
That makes me feel a bit better! If you buy your contacts online, definitely sign up for Ebates. A lot of the contact places offer up to 8% back! Which adds up quick with how ridiculously expensive contacts are 🙁
I really need to sign up for ebates. I’ve been putting it off forever but need to get it done!
Definitely do it! Who can say no to free money?
Ok, signed up for ebates…used your email as my referral. I have no idea about using it so heading over now to read the instructions. If you have any pointers, please email me!!! Love this post of great pieces. So cute that plaid is your JAM! Old Navy is my first stop on ebates for some mustard plaid. Thank you for the inspiration. XO
Thanks Leslie! I’d say be sure to install the extension for your browser. That makes it super easy because it pops up when you navigate to a site that offers cash back!
