I know the boho trend has been around for awhile now, but it wasn’t something that I really gravitated to. But as soon as I saw this boho dress at Nordstrom, I knew I had to have it. The swing fit, the gorgeous print, and the unusual mock neckline just called to me.
Once I got it home, it was time to play a bit of dress up. With all the colors within the floral pattern, it was easy. Since the weather is still in “cold spring” mode, I knew boots were a necessity. I initially tried my black OTK boots on and it just wasn’t quite right. Then I glanced over at the maroon pair and realized it would match perfectly. Then it was just a matter of throwing on some gold bracelets. A necklace wasn’t necessary, the print is bold enough to not need anything plus the neckline makes it a bit tricky. To finish it off, I added my mint purse for a complementary color. Since I went with this purse, I also added a mint-ish colored ring that I got in my recent Roxbox. Have you tried Rocksbox yet? It is fun to get different items in each box that I might not usually pick up. If you want to try, use code alliebff79 for a free month.
How do you feel about the boho trend? Are you full out boho babeΒ or just dipping your toes in like me with a pretty boho dress or top?

Love the look. Those boots are adorable!
Thank you Alanna!
So cute! I especially love your boots!!!
Thanks Chelsea!
beautiful dress and I love how you styled it!! !I never think to wear my tall boots in the spring with dresses… need to get on that!
You definitely should. It makes it feel like summer is a little closer π
I love those OTK boots! I am about 5’1″ – do you think OTK boots would look odd on me?
I don’t think so! You would just want to find a pair that are to quite as tall. These ones don’t really go over my knees, but I’m 5’8″ so they would go over yours π
Totally you- I would peg you as boho for style, it suits you very naturally. Maybe it’s your hair?
Thanks Deena. Maybe it is, I do have that slightly tousled look going on with it π
Love, love, love this outfit! This look would be perfect for fall too!

Thanks Amanda! I’m sure I’ll be wearing it in the fall as well π
Such a great print on you! I love the boho look esp anything off the shoulder right now. Since it’s so incredibly humid in Houston right now, I would probably swap the boots for some cute wedges, but those boots are such a pretty color and perfect for fall.

Thanks Linh! Wedges would be perfect!
Loving these killer boots, babe!

Thanks Amanda π
Oh, boy, I LOVE THIS LOOK ON YOU! Seems totally YOU! And I don’t even know you IRL but I would think this could be your uniform. Such a sweet pattern, and those boots just make this outfit. You look just lovely.
Thanks Leslie! I’m always a fan of a fun dress and boots, so you are not far off π
