You Gotta Regatta

I haven’t been a Lilly lover for very long. But in that short time, I’ve always loved the You Gotta Regatta print. As any Lilly lover knows, that print is one of the holy grails of Lilly. So imagine my surprise when I opened my email one Wednesday morning and see that Lilly has brought back You Gotta Regatta. I obviously quickly clicked over to the Lilly site to see the styles available. I waffled for a bit. But then I started seeing comments on Instagram and then Twitter that styles were selling out. I knew I couldn’t wait any longer and decided I just had to get the Melle dress. You know my love of swing dresses is deep, so it was an easy choice.

As soon as I opened the package, it was love at first sight. How can you go wrong with a pretty sailboat print AND bright, neon colors. And let me tell you, it really is BRIGHT. But I’m still in love. Since the dress is such a standout, I let it shine with minimal jewelry. Of course, I can totally see layering on some pendants as well. A black or navy blazer would dress it up a bit and trim the brightness down a bit, making it a bit more appropriate for a casual Friday at work during the summer.

I’ve never been hug fan of Lilly (not a big enough fan to spend the money or brave the crazies at Target, at least) but your enthusiasm for this print is making me question myself. I think I kind of love it too! Maybe I’ll head over to her website and take a look…

Such a pretty print! I’m so glad you were able to click through and get what you wanted before it sold out. I recently missed out on an Anthropologie maxi dress and I’m kicking myself for not committing faster!

How are so beach ready in that dress the bright colors…looks great on you! Just curious what lens you use on your DSLR to get the blur..someone told me to get 50mm and it does not work so great…cant get your whole body in :/
