While my office is considered business casual, it really borders closer to casual. Like khakis or black pants and a nice shirt is about as far as most people go. Now, I’m the little odd duck and usually wear dresses or skirts, but even those are usually more casual. But every once in awhile I like to get a little more fancy and throw on a blazer. Paired with a swing skirt, you are pushing the limits. To tame all this business, I just had to throw on this gold pineapple print shirt. I mean, how can you go wrong?
The juxtaposition of casual and fancy makes for a fun outfit that is not only office friendly, but easily transitions to a date night or drinks with friends. You wouldn’t even have to change anything out!
So tell me, do you like to mix business with casual?

Your pineapple print tee is so fun! 🙂 My office is on the casual side too, most people wear jeans through the week. Adding a blazer to anything is a great way to make it work for the office, especially one with a business casual dress code 🙂

Thanks Mica! Biz casual is nice as it is the best of both worlds 🙂
I LOVE that shirt 🙂 Your whole outfit is super cute. I love the way you used the shirt to make the outfit more fun. I don’t work in an office so I don’t get to wear cute stuff like this. I’m mostly in t-shirts and leggings all day.
Thank you! Nothing wrong with t-shirts and leggings 🙂
Love that shirt, and that you paired it with a blazer, so much fun!
Thanks Sarah!
Nice color combination Alison. Love the hunter green skirt and your nude sandals. Do come linkup with me tomorrow and every Thursday. My readers would love your style.
Thank you Ada!
I just love that swing skirt! Is it from Old Navy? I think two of my other blogger friends have the same one. I’m lucky that my dress code at school is pretty relaxed. Sometimes I like it up, sometimes I dress it down.
Yep! It is Old Navy. Relaxed dress codes are always nice, so there are more options.
Cute! I love the top; it’s so fun and flirty! Great way to balance the fanciness of the blazer!
Thank you Chelsie!
I love the pineapple top! Anything with pineapples wins me over. I just bought a summery maxi skirt with pineapples, watermelon, and ice cream on it which I love!
That sounds like so much fun!
those little pineapples make me so happy! I absolutely love that shade of green you have going on there girl! Pretty as can be!
Thanks Andrea 🙂
I have a pineapple tee I can try this with. Working at a high school library this fall and they are pretty casual-casual. Love the way this looks on you. Your hair is so pretty the way it is blowing in the second picture.
Thanks Leslie! Every once in awhile the wind does play in my favor when it comes to photos.
I love the pineapple top! The whole outfit is great!
Thanks! Pineapples are always a good idea 🙂
