I have a confession to make. I absolutely love leopard pieces (R13 has so many options there!). But no matter what leopard items I add to my closet, these booties will always be the favorites in my heart.
The thing that I love most about leopard is that it is just so versatile. I’ve worn it with a dress, a teal top and fuzzy vest and even maroon pants. And that is just these booties! Leopard is totally a neutral in that aspect. Now, I wouldn’t pair it with crazy prints, but with solids and stripes? You bet! You can find leopard in pretty much any type of clothing these days, so you can go as small or as big as you want. Want to just try it out? Get a scarf or a bag/clutch. Ready for a little more? Try a simple tee and pair it with a solid cardigan. Or vice versa! Or if you are ready to go all out, get a pair of boots (I’m partial), a big fluffy coat or vest or even a pair of jeans (did you see those in that first link I shared?). So many options! I pulled together a widget with several options towards the bottom of this post if you want some easy shopping 🙂
I had originally gotten the idea for this outfit from Southern Curls & Pearls and wore something super similar last year (it just never made it to the blog). But this year I knew I had to wear it with the ridiculously popular cardigan that everyone freaked out about during the Nordstrom sale (including me, obviously). There is good reason, it is pretty much amazing and so simple to wear!
Of course now that the weather is moving into full on winter here, my next leopard outfit just might be something like this! I recently got a leopard coat from Target and have already worn it a couple times. But that was mainly just to and from work, so even though it is obviously fantastic, I didn’t actually plan my outfit around it. Except to make sure I wasn’t wearing crazy bottoms of course. ha!
Tell me, how do you like to wear leopard?

Thanks Mica! I really need to get my presents wrapped to make sure of the things I still need to get.

I love leopard – and yes, I totally agree they are a “neutral – basic” in my closet, too.
