Hi friends! Today I’m talking about a favorite topic of mine, comfortable clothes for work. Specifically, athleisure at work. Now that might sound like a bit of a oxymoron, but it can be done. Especially if your work dress code is more on the casual side of business casual.
Now, to conquer athleisure at work, you need to grab more than your Nike sweatshirt. The thing to really focus on is the details. Take this top for example, it feels like a fleece sweatshirt, but looks a lot fancier right? The deep color combined with the bell sleeves elevates the top without losing comfort. Now for the bottoms. I will say I’m in the camp that leggings are not pants, unless they are made to be pants. Make sense? Nah? Hear me out. Some leggings are relatively thin and those are the ones that are NOT pants. But many leggings that have additional details, like pockets or zippers, often can be considered pants. Pretty much every pair that I have from Athelta I would wear as pants. I’ll caveat that though that I will still wear a bit longer top, but maybe not a full on tunic. I love looking for leggings that have those little details like zippers and leather(esque) panels. Fancy, right?
Finally, its time to tie it all together. Now, there are some days that I might just wear sneakers. But if I want to elevate a look a bit more I’ll grab a pair like these Naturalizer slip ons. Still a sneaker feel, without the full sneaker look. And don’t forget jewelry! A pretty necklace can really up your athleisure at work game. Take this beauty from Happiness Boutique. It says I’m pulled together, but the minimalist look doesn’t compete with the rest of my atheisure look.
I’ve even got a coupon code for you at Happiness Boutique! Just use puppiesandpretties at the checkout, you will get 10% discount for orders over 19 euros and it is valid until May 3.
